The icon of God's Mother of Bethlehem is located in the basilica of the Nativity of Christ in Bethlehem and is revered by Christians around the world as a miracle-working one. This is the only icon of the Mother of God, on which She smiles, rejoicing after the birth of Jesus.
The icon also has the name "Icon of Joy" or "Smiling Icon". Certainly the history of its appearance to people is unknown, but its writing dates back to the V century. The icon of Bethlehem is also unique and is the only one among the miraculous icons that doesn't have a single copy.
