Skhug is a pride of Israel. Recipe for this unique seasoning was imported from Yemen at the beginning of the last century and at once received huge popularity. Over the years, Israelis have improved the way they cooking, carefully selecting the ingredients.
The main ingredient of the mixture is the hot red Yemeni pepper, which gives such a unique spicy. Also the garlic, cardamom, cloves, coriander, cumin are in Skhug.
It is most widespread in Israel Zhug in the form of paste which can be easily received by filling a dry mixture with a small amount of water and adding a little vegetable oil. Skhug is perfect for any meat and vegetable dishes, meals from eggs and soups. Even an ordinary piece of bread, smeared with Zhug, will surprise you with its variety of taste.
